Carpet Discounters began in the 1970's as a floor covering installation company, handling the installations and service for major department stores, designers, hotels, furniture retailers, property managers and the like. From there, Carpet Discounters evolved into a floor covering dealer with multiple locations. We have vast experience with not only home owners and private individuals but also businesses, churches, schools, government agencies, architects, builders and more. The service and installation of the products that we sell has always been handled from one central facility.
Experience demonstrated that working from a central facility was also much more efficient for the sales and estimating aspects of the business. An on site evaluation / estimate is almost always appropriate for a floor covering installation. Years of experience has also shown that it’s almost always best for the customer to see samples of the products that they are buying in the area where they are meant to be installed. Colors and styles can often look very different in a store than they do in the lighting and surroundings of the home or office.
Carpet Discounters’ philosophy is that we bring the products to you, so that you instantly get the look and feel of the finished product in place, when making your choice. As time is often an issue for many of our customers, this approach also speeds up the process by eliminating the store visit. It’s not unusual for one of our customers to call us one day and have their new floor completed the next. The considerable overhead cost savings realized by using one central facility, as opposed to multiple locations, is reflected in our excellent pricing.
